Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Handler Labs LLC (“Handler Labs,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with Panelry at getpanelry.com (the “Service”). Your recipes are your intellectual property. We store minimally, do not sell or share your personal information, and let you export or delete it at any time. We keep this policy accurate and up to date.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and, if provided, your name. Used to create your account, sign you in, and contact you about the Service.
  • Your Content. The recipes, ingredients, business name/address, and labels you create and choose to save. This is your intellectual property.
  • Payment information. Processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and we never receive or store your full card number. We retain only a Stripe customer identifier and your subscription/entitlement status.
  • Technical & usage data. Data our hosting and security providers automatically log, such as IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and pages viewed, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking technologies.

We collect this information directly from you and automatically through your use of the Service. We do not knowingly collect more than we need.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
  • save your recipes and labels and process your payments and entitlements;
  • respond to support requests and send transactional messages (receipts, password resets, account and billing notices);
  • with your consent or as permitted by law, send you product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time; and
  • detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Supabase. Database and authentication (stores your account and Your Content on our behalf).
  • Stripe. Payment processing. Stripe acts both as our processor and as an independent controller for fraud prevention, risk, and legal compliance under its own Privacy Policy. Card processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider; we do not store cardholder data.
  • Vercel. Application hosting.
  • Cloudflare. DNS, content delivery, and security.

Nutrition data comes from the U.S. government's public-domain USDA FoodData Central API. We send it search terms, not your personal information, so it does not receive your personal data.

We may also disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will notify you of any material change to this policy).

4. Cookies, analytics & Do Not Track

We use essential cookies for authentication and to keep you signed in. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly tool that counts page views and aggregate usage without cookies, without building advertising profiles, and without tracking you across other websites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party behavioral-advertising trackers, and we do not permit third parties to collect your personal information across other websites through the Service.

Because there is no industry-standard “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal, we do not currently respond to DNT signals from browsers. This disclosure is provided under California Business & Professions Code § 22575(b).

5. Your privacy rights

Regardless of where you live, you can access, correct, export, or deleteyour account and Your Content (most of it directly in your dashboard, or by emailing us). Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may also have the rights to: confirm whether we process your personal information; obtain a portable copy; delete it; correct inaccuracies; opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising and certain profiling (note: we do none of these); and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. Where the law provides it, you may appeal a decision on your request.

To exercise any right, email privacy@getpanelry.com. We will verify your request using your account email and respond within the time required by law. Because we do not sell or share personal information or serve targeted ads, opt-out (including via Global Privacy Control) signals do not change our practices, but we honor them where required.

California's CCPA/CPRA and other states' comprehensive privacy laws apply to businesses that meet certain size or data-processing thresholds. Handler Labs does not currently meet those thresholds, but we extend the core rights above to all users as a matter of practice and update this section as our obligations change.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child provided us information may contact privacy@getpanelry.com.

7. International users & where data is processed

The Service is operated from and intended for users in the United States. It is not directed to, or targeted at, individuals in the European Union/EEA or the United Kingdom. Your information is stored and processed in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

8. Data retention

We keep your account information and Your Content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your recipes and labels anytime, and you can request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing privacy@getpanelry.com. We may retain limited records (for example, transaction records and consent logs) as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, and we retain automatic technical logs for a limited period.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Communications & email

We send transactional emails necessary to operate your account (receipts, security and billing notices). Any marketing emails include a clear unsubscribe link and our postal address; we honor opt-outs promptly, in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of it.
