About
Labeling shouldn't cost a small maker a fortune
Every packaged food sold in the US needs a compliant label. For the growing wave of home-based and cottage food producers (bakers, jam and sauce makers, granola and spice sellers) producing that label has meant either a confusing DIY effort or a $49+/month subscription aimed at much larger businesses.
Panelry exists to fix that.We built a label maker on two free, authoritative foundations: the USDA's FoodData Centraldatabase of 380,000+ public-domain foods, and the FDA's own documented label format (21 CFR 101.9). That means an accurate generator with no licensed data, no AI guesswork, and no per-label cost, so we can offer a genuinely free cottage-label tier and a $9 one-time Nutrition Facts panel instead of a monthly contract.
How we're different
- A bigger free database. 380,000+ USDA foods, the federal government's full public-domain database, free.
- Cottage-food support the incumbents ignore. The ingredient, allergen, net-weight, and per-state “home kitchen” disclosure a maker actually needs first.
- Honest pricing. Free, $9 per label, or $12/month. No per-recipe caps, no lock-in, export anytime.
Who builds it
Panelry is built by Handler Labs LLC. We're a small, independent shop, which is exactly why we understand pricing for small makers. Questions or feedback? Email hello@getpanelry.com.
Panelry is not affiliated with the FDA or USDA and does not provide legal advice. Always verify a label against current regulations and your state's cottage-food law before selling.
